Your Unified Communications solution from Office 365 will make the most of the "Bring Your Own Trunk" solution , otherwise known as Direct Routing.
This time it's good, Microsoft is releasing the "Direct Routing" feature on its solution Teams which will allow users to make calls through a local or international operator. Direct Routing or direct routing is a feature of Phone System in Office 365. It allows businesses to connect to a Session Border Controler device (SBC) so that they can use Microsoft Teams with their own telephone service provider (carrier) to support public switched telephone network (PSTN) calls.
Proof of Concept of Microsoft's "Direct Routing" function Teams
Do you want to conduct a successful Proof of Concept (PoC) of the Microsoft Direct Routing solution Teams to present to your management and need a specialist to support you? We have been providing products and support for Microsoft OCS, Lync, then Skype for Business and for Cloud Connector Edition (CCE). The team Lambert Consulting team has the technical expertise to support your organisation in moving to the Teams platform to get the most out of it.
Easy transition to the call in Teams
By integrating with an existing PBX , pilot users can be moved to calls in MS Teams while other users remain on their old PBX. Eventually, all users will be able to easily switch to calls in Teams. Call traffic between these users during the transition remains within the organisation.
Support for analogue devices
If an organisation wishes to switch to telephone calls through MS Teams but still has analogue devices such as DECT servers, lift phones or pagers, it can connect these devices to Teams and the telephone system PABX/PBX via direct routing. The call traffic between the analogue devices and the users of Teams remains within the organisation.
To take full advantage of the functionality, you should follow these steps
- Ensure that the Microsoft Teams service is enabled in your package Office 365.
- Check if you have access to the Microsoft Phone System (Phone System). The license Phone System is available in the E5 package or must be purchased separately.
- Microsoft is working to provide customers with the best possible compatibility.
