Now certified for Microsoft Teams
A few months ago we posted an article about Direct Routing with Microsoft Teams, the principle of direct routing is to allow users to make calls through a local or international operator. The "Direct Routing" or direct routing is a feature of Phone System in Office 365.
It allows companies to connect to a Session Border Controler device (SBC) so that they can use Microsoft Teams with their own telephone service provider (operator) to make or receive telephone calls.
Today, Anynode joins its competitors AudioCodes and Ribbon on the list of SBC certified for direct Routing with Microsoft Teams. The Anynode® product is a Session Border Controler, entirely software based, unlike its competitors, which also offer hardware versions, which can be more stable depending on the number of users.
The product works as an interface for any number of SIP AUs i.e.; SIP phones, PBX SIP and SIP providers. It converts port and directory information, provides security, directs session traffic and handles call numbers.

Like AudioCodes or Ribbon, Anynode is also supported on Azure and in the Azure Marketplace.
If you look at the list of certified Session Border Controler , you can see that the functionality Media Bypass is not yet "certified" by any vendor SBC. We know that Media Bypass is currently under development and we look forward to testing it soon.
For those unfamiliar with the terminology, "Media Bypass" means that voice traffic (media) routes directly between the user/client endpoint and the certified SBC , rather than routing from the user/client to cloud, then SBC ( so that the media "bypasses" Cloud). This is an important feature for scaling and optimizing your direct routing with Microsoft Teams.
Connect to Microsoft's Cloud without using a SIP Trunk and a SBC !
