Initial situation
Our client had an aging IT asset management system based on MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and wanted to modernize the management and deployment of approximately 200 PCs and Macs. With Microsoft 365 E3 licenses and wanting to transition to the Cloud our client therefore turned to the “Modern IT Management” strategy using Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
Goal
Keep their machines on their local domain while leveraging the power ofIntune to deploy Windows 10, manage Microsoft updates, deploy software, and manage security settings.
Concept
We installed the connector Azure AD so thatIntune it can communicate with the local domain.
Create the necessary profiles and settings in Intune to be able to deploy machines running WindowsWindows 10 in Hybrid mode Azure AD.
Windows We used White Glov AutoPilot for deploying machines running Windows 10. This frees up IT support staff because there are almost no tasks left to perform manually.
Proposed and implemented a system for managing updates Windows 10 (Quality and Feature Updates).
We provided guidance and support in managing business software so that it could be deployed with Intune. The client benefited from deploying the suite Office 365 and configured OneDrive "Known Folders" redirection via policies Intune.
Result
Our client can now manage its IT infrastructure through Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune). The teams IT can manage software deployment, updates, and security settings for all their devices (PCs, Macs), whether they are connected to their network or located anywhere in the world.
IT support no longer has to perform all the repetitive and tedious tasks involved in a traditional deployment Windows 10 because nearly all of these tasks are now automated.
