For more detailed information we recommend reading thefull article by Joe Lurie, Microsoft.
Windows AutoPilot
Get devices and have them delivered directly to the end user and provisioned from cloud. Windows Autopilot has been available since Windows 10, version 1703 (with the 7D update) and with each new version of Windows 10, Microsoft adds new requested features. Today, Microsoft is adding the ability to:
-
- Configure the Azure AD hybrid user-driven join with VPN support. This support has been backported to Windows 10, versions 1909 and 1903.
-
- Configure the language settings in the Windows Autopilot profile so that the Out-of-the-Box Experience (OOBE) ignores the language, regional and keyboard pages when the device is connected to the Ethernet.
Microsoft Intune
Microsoft Intune console updates: Target version is now available in Intune, allowing you to specify which version of the Windows 10 operating system you want to move provisioned devices to. This capability also allows you to keep devices in their current version until the service ends. Now available in the Intune console, you can also configure it as a group policy or configuration service provider (CSP).
