Is the C450HD model still a good choice?
No, and this is the clearest example. It is still available, but its Microsoft certification ( Teams ) expired on August 5, 2023, and Microsoft support ended on August 5, 2025.
If you're already using them, they'll continue to work, and there's no rush. But we won't sell you any new ones: the certified models cost the same.
Do we need desk phones, or is a headset enough?
For most employees, a headset and the app are all that’s needed, and they cost much less. Desk phones are useful at the front desk, in workshops, in shared areas, and in places where computers aren’t left on all day.
AudioCodes We do not manufacture helmets: for this part, we refer you to another supplier, and we have no problem with that.
How long are these certifications valid?
Microsoft publishes an expiration date for each certified device. For currently certified phones and meeting room devices AudioCodes , the expiration date is set for August 15, 2028.
This is not the equipment's end-of-life date; it is the date by which the certification must be renewed. We double-check it before each proposal.
Can we use multiple equipment suppliers?
Yes, and that's common. A set of Microsoft-certified devices— Teams —from two different vendors works without any particular issues.
What makes things complicated is operations: two consoles, two update schedules, and two points of contact when an incident occurs. This is the only serious argument in favor of a single provider, and it only applies if your team is small.

The certification's expiration date
It is published by Microsoft on a device-by-device basis and does not appear in any vendor catalog. It’s the first thing we check before recommending a model to you.
It sometimes leads us to rule out a device that is still on the market.
